About Sangha

The Buddha, Shakyamuni, our teacher, predicted that the next Buddha would be Maitreya, the Buddha of love. It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community. A community practicing understanding and loving kindness. A community practicing mindful living. The practice can be carried out as a group, as a city, as a nation.

Thich Nhat Hanh, The Next Buddha May Be A Sangha
The Inquiring Mind journal, Spring 1994

Within the camp of jubilee we wish to create the opportunity to bring people together as tribe, family, and community for the purpose of sharing, exploring, and experiencing. This is the essence of sangha. Within that essence a common bond of curiosity for the medicine that nourishes and unites all aspects of what it means to be a ‘human being’.

Supporting the alignment of health and happiness for the individual and for the community

This alignment through mind, body, and breath is cultivated and nourished as we explore our medicines. Explore the weekend at Sangha with artistic expression, movement and dance, developing better relationships, sustainable communities, touch/massage, and so much more to experience.
